Ten years ago I started my first consulting practice to help small business owners and entrepreneurs with energy and enthusiasm. Unfortunately, my thought processes did not catch up with my new status as an entrepreneur until 3 – 4 years later.
This delay cost me time, money, and most of all, momentum in my business. Working with over 500 clients confirmed that my journey was not unique.
Even when they had a brilliant idea and all of the skills required to turn that idea into a real business, when they still thought like an employee they struggled to launch the business and make it grow.
They really needed to develop entrepreneurial characteristics and replace old habits that hindered their momentum.
When I looked back, I realized that my corporate career would have been even more successful if I had approached it with more of an entrepreneurial mindset. I believe that entrepreneurial characteristics and skills are the life and leadership skills of the future. So, whether you see business ownership in your future, approaching your life entrepreneurially will lead to more success.
My mission is to help my clients develop an entrepreneurial mindset so that they can have more of what matters most to them. I focus on the inner entrepreneur….that kernel that exists in all of us.
